With excellent drawing and welding performance and relatively high dimensional accuracy, the cold rolled low carbon steel plates have been widely applied to manufacture of various automotive parts and home appliance parts. In particular the interstitial free steel (IF steel) has been greatly used for extremely hard drawing parts such as inner door plates, luggage boot cover plates and crankcase oil pans for its high value R, value N and percent elongation.

1. Taking RP0.2 in case of indistinct yield, otherwise ReL; When the thickness is less than or equal to 0.7mm and greater than 0.5mm, the yield strength is considered to increase by 20MPa; When the thickness is less than or equal to 0.5mm,the yield strength is considered to increase by 40MPa.
2. By mutual consent, the minimum value of yield strength can be set to 140Mpa for DC01,DC03 and DC04, 120Mpa for DC05 and DC06, 100Mpa for DC07.

4. When the thickness is less than or equal to 0.7mm and greater than 0.5mm, the minimum value for elongation is reduced by 2% (absolute value), when the thickness is less than or equal to 0.5mm, then the minimum value for elongation is reduced by 4% (absolute value).
5. The minimum value for r90 and n90 only apply to products of thickness equal to or greater than 0.5mm; For products with thickness over 2.0mm the minimum r90 value is reduced by 0.2.
6. For DC01 products the upper limit value of the yield strength is valid only for 8 days from the production date.
Tensile Strain Trace
Aging often occurs on low carbon steel and causes steel yield strength increasing and elongation percent decreasing, which may lead to the occurrence of defects such as orange peels and coarse surface during processing. Therefore, it is necessary to specify guarantee time for tensile strain marks of each steel grade. Refer to following table for provisions of tensile strain marks of each steel grade.
